FOLK MUSIC AND COMMUNITY
In 1996, the first ROD was held, since then every year ROD has been responsible for the biggest folk music party organized by young people between 15-25 years of age. Every year, ROD is created by young people with a desire to play and dance folk music on their own terms. At the event, the participants - beginners, slightly practiced as well as experienced - take part in group plays and big plays. At ROD, everyone is welcome! What unites us is an interest in folk music - or just the courage to try it out!
WHAT'S GOING ON AT ROD?
At ROD we meet about folk music. We'll figure out the rest together. For the participants, the event is full of gruppespil, storspil and workshops. The volunteers have duties in the kitchen and in the bar, but can participate in bigplay and workshops when they have time off. As a volunteer, you can often be part of bigplay if you arrange your shifts around it.
